EnSight 9.2 is the recommended version for those who are adverse to new software versions. EnSight 10 was first released in January 2012. EnSight 9.2 is also recommended to those working in large organizations which have a schedule for implementing new software versions. EnSight 9.2 and 10.0 can be installed at the same time, they use the same licensing system.

EnSight 9.2 is the only version support Virtual Reality (VR) and EnSight Distributed Rendering (DR) functionality at this time. VR and DR functionality will come in an update to EnSight 10 later Q1 2012. EnSight 10.0.2b released in April 2012 included some EnSight DR support for multi-panels, remaining VR and DR functionality is still under development.
